It's good to take freedom of speech. It's because they want to say anything without using profanity.
It's really bad about violating social networking sites' policies and guidelines (such as threats of violence/death, disruptive behavior, trolling, use of profanity...), you know. That's mean. They can ban anyone's IP address permanently. And they could get anyone who is uses the internet in trouble. Really.
So I have to take freedom of speech, instead of being violent. The song "Rihanna - Unfaithful" has the word "gun" in the lyrics. It should be "I might as well take a watergun and spray it to his shin, get it over with". Also, "James Blunt - You're Beautiful" has the F-word in the lyrics (should be "flying high"). You may have read this: a fake Canon blogger resists legal threat since Canon's lawyers try to shut down a Canon parody blog, which is run by the wordpress.com URL. I had no other choice but remove the inappropriate words (all my drawings are clean right now, except the first ones back when I was 17 was the katana, then the light saber, a futuristic weapon from Star Wars, and a bullwhip, inspired by the fictional adventurer Indiana Jones). but the "arrow-in-a-apple", that's fine, but no weaponry will be in the drawings, weaponry is just violent.)
I know that I have "IP address issues" due to the Chuck Taylor incident, but the Chuck Taylors will be replaced with Levi's Red Tab shoes. So I have decided to move to Rahway, New Jersey. Most retail stores (Target, Wal-Mart, Best Buy, any retail store that sells video games/DVDs/music), have a strict rated-M game policy, which the rated-M games are not to be sold to persons under 17, also the TV-14/TV-MA DVDs, the rated-R movies, and the music CDs that have the "Parental Advisory" label.
First I have to focus on saving money for Tokyo (need a job first, because anyone who is not 21 can only get part-time jobs!), then I save money for a house.
Everyone should take freedom of speech.

Well, yesterday we finally got son's 1st quarter Japanese grade, an 'A', the first he's gotten in the subject. After all the years of hectoring from his mother, you'd think she'd have said something -like 'Hey, you did it, I knew could!'. Nope, which did not go unnoticed by son. So the box score is 1 'B' and the rest, 'A's'. Almost night and day from his junior year performance, which wasn't horrible, but was desultory. Its sobering to realize that may have been influenced by my own unemployed and at home situation.
I 'get' the why's of lack of fulsome praise from his mother and in general why Asian parents don't jump up and down for joy when their children bring home outstanding academic reports; its 当り前. But this isn't Asia, as I have reminded his mother and that it wouldn't hurt to show son how pleased you are with his school work. The reaction to that has been along the lines of 'so he should be praised for even having a successful bowel movement?'
One of the many things I have learned in life is, life is a matter of balances and that sure any parent especially one suffering from 親ばか can go overboard with the praise for children. On the other hand, culture aside, people are people and a good word after some good performance won't bring the world order down either.
Have always wondered how healthy the reluctance of Japanese/Asian parents to show some outward joy and appreciation of their children's' performance to their children really is and how such affects personality?
I think I had one too many last night.
That's what my head tells me at least...
But still, I feel good. Over all life is great at the moment, and I am looking forward to just relaxing and maybe having some kind of seriously decadent food today (cheating on the once a week is fine we said, and when you're hungover it doesn't really count anyways...)
As usual it's grey outside, but since I'm not going to venture out in it I don't really care. Actually it can be quite nice when it's sort of dark and rainy when you get to stay inside, be warm and just look at it from your safe haven behind the window.
So I'm smiling to myself, looking at my friend who's sleeping in my bed (she a lot more hungover than me, but it doesn't bother me at all that she's here, I'm happy to take care of her) and wishing you all a very very...

Such a nice night for mid-November at the 400 Bar. Athletes in Slacks (myspace) warmed up the crowd with their laidback loungey harmonizing sound that only two keyboarders and a guitarist can produce. The band claims all their songs are about love, except later on their hour-long set, they introduced a song about hating two guys from New York. They did finish strong with a cover of INXS's "Never Tear Us Apart", and that's what really matter.
The first time I heard about Swedish band Little Dragon, was in January. Ceji was really into them. Since we generally like Swedish bands here, I did try and keep up with their whereabouts. As it turns out, they're in the middle of their tour through the US to promote their sophomore album, Machine Dreams. Although the band's been here already, they confessed last night that this was their first time in Minneapolis.
They didn't do Ceji's favorite "Recommendation" song, but I though hands-down their best song played was "After The Rain", complete with an amazing ending.
From what I heard from their live set, their new songs seems to drifts from the R&B and Jazz influence to more electro and beats. I think the combination works well for them, especially since I like their big beats/electronica sound.

I've been to a lot of shows lately, and I can tell you that this was one of the best shows yet. They're heading their way to the East Coast, so definitely check them out. If they're not heading through your city, you should check out Machine Dreams, out now on Peacefrog Records.
) ♥ little-dragon.se ♥ myspace.com/yourlittledragon I want to give this game a proper review later, since these posts are usually reserved for something else. I've got more games lined up that I want to share with you guys, so look forward to them! I'll have to think of a related title later, but for now it's definitely going to be about those old arcade fighters from the last decade.
Pretty good week for news! Lots of good stuff to pick and choose from. My philosophy to posting these links is to "make people smile." If it's funny and interesting to you, read it! That's why I created this blog after all :)

I cut my long fingernails for piano practice today, my tutor was pleased. I have big hands, a wide handspan, and it's always been something of an insecurity. But now I can put my long fingers to use! *empowerment* I can spread my fingers across an entire octave comfortably. Today I finally got to practice scales and songs on a real piano... it was so wonderful!
My fingers hurt a bit right now but I wouldn't go home until I mastered Mary had a Little Lamb. It sounds so much better, richer, with two hands! I was so excited when I finally got the notes and hand positioning down. Then I kept practicing the C major scale with both hands, forward and backward, going up and back down the keys. It was a little tricky but now I feel like I have a little bit of muscle memory of a few simple things.
Now I really have to focus on my research paper...
