There should be a non-smoking club
There's this small Irish pub near Roppongi Hills that's non-smoking. It's just a small joint, owned- as I understand- by a bunch of guys who used to be working for another Ex-Investment Bank used to be stationed up in Roppongi Hills. It's so cool. Nothing special if you really think about it, but an Irish pub that's completely non-smoking environment, is just great as far as I'm concerned.
So it's too bad that there's no club, as far as I know, that I can go dance where it's non-smoking. It's part of the reason I no longer go to clubs; those places are too smokey. I think the idea would fly, I hope someone will open one. (or maybe one already exists and I don't know about it because I'm kinda out of the scene)

Non-smoking clubs I have been to in Paris (all of them, by law) sort of failed at being non-smoking, as people would start smoking anyway. It would be different though, probably, if it was in Japan and the club made itself known as the non-smoking club. Dunno whether it would make it more successful or unsuccessful... Start one yourself!
The salsa place I went to the other day wasn't too bad. Barely anyone was smoking. Someone said that people who are really interested in dancing (like as a sport) are more healthy, but that could be a crock of shit.
All of Australia's bars are non-smoking as of a couple of years ago, they just have little outside sections that are the only places smoking is allowed now. I love it! It's great coming home from a night out without having to wash my hair and every piece of clothing I wore just to get the smell out.
