New Mac Book Pro line of Apple laptops look very good! My black MacBook (I believe this one is the second generation of the first model MacBook) is doing fine and I probably won't need to get a new one in these days, but they sure look awesome. And getting cheaper. Always a good thing.
I have downloaded and isntalled Firefox for Mac and trying it out. Been using Safari. Not that I have problems with safari, but I thought I'd make sure if there's something I'm missing here.
Font is a bit too small. My eyes get tired quick and that often gives me headaches, so big font is important for me... (people look at my office PC monitor often and comment on how large all the letters look; that's because I always kick down the resolution to 1024 x 728 (or something. I don't really remember the exact number on this...). I never use any other resolution.
Actually, you are not supposed to do it with LCD monitor. each size of LCD monitor has its "native" resolution, in which everything is supposed to look at its best.
I don't give a feck. small letters are small letters, no matter how smooth they look. And they give me headaches. Anyway they don't look that different for me. Besides, I play my games on the above-mentioned resolution as well, which has the benefit of requiring less machine-power than higher resolution:-)
The first week of May is known as "Golden Week" in Japan. There are several national holidays scattered around on the last week of April and the first week of May. Although exactly how many days off you'd get depends on the calendar of that year, you'd get at least several extra days off. Which is always nice.
Okay I've checked out the real thing; the pad in question looks great and seems solid enough, although I wouldn't know what happens if you drop this thing or it bumps into something hard...
I'm not sure if I like what I'm reading about new MacBook/ MacBook Pro. I haven't even seen the real thing but a track pad made of glass on a mobile machine doesn't inspire me with confidence. No button to click (apparently, the entire pad works as clickable space)... Hmm.... Also, even though I'm a fan of Mac their first generation hardware seems to have some kind of glitch here and there. Their changing the entire motherboard is another cause of worry.
Somehow I can't add new videos to my Favorites, I just get a prompt that says my e-mail address needs to be confirmed, which I have done (or at least I think I have) but it keeps asking me that. Does anyone have the same problem? Maybe it's suddenly become hostile to Mac or something? (*x*)
New version of Mac OS will be released next week. It's got some features that might be interesting (especially the official version of Boot Camp, which lets you dual boot your Mac machine with Windows OS), but I guess I'd wait out and see. The first version always has some problems.
I've been test driving my new Mac Book (it's the black one, yay (^^)v). The first time it came out, I was very tempted but decide to wait out a bit longer as I read some problems and technical issues being reported on user forums and にちゃんねる. I waited even more after the slightly upgraded Core 2 Duo version came out, made sure not major issues have been reported and made my purchase.
